ISLAMABAD, Sep 04: Almost every staffer of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), who is attaining the age of superannuation, which is 60-year, is trying to manage to get his date of birth deduced to avert his retirement for time being.
According to documents available with this scribe, a Lower Division Clerk (LDC) Basharat Aziz has retired on April 14, 2024 in accordance with his pay-roll and all the seniority lists issued so far.
However, currently, his age has been deduced to one year and he is still performing his duties. According to reliable sources in PIMS, Basharat Aziz is the brother of PIMS’ former Deputy Director (Admin) Anjum Aziz, who is famous for his huge corruption and nepotism.
According to sources, PIMS Executive Director Rana Imran Sikandar is being kept in dark by the corrupt administration of the hospital in all these illegal matters.
Another Upper Division Clerk (UDC) Muhammad Tariq has not only retired on January 1,2024, his pension slip is also available on internet according to the record of Accountant General Pakistan Revenues (AGPR).
Whereas, he is still working in PIMS with the connivance of PIMS administration, despite his application seeking two-year deduction in his age was dismissed by the PIMS Executive Director last year. The PIMS administration has not yet issued his retirement orders and he is serving and getting salary.
According to the General Financial Rules (GFR) of the federal government, after two years of service, age cannot be deduced.
