ISLAMABAD: Mustafa Malik, Secretary Information of PML, welcoming the visit of Chinese Foreign Minister, Chan Kong has said road and belt initiative (RBI) of the China will eventually bring the world closer and well knitted where mutual cooperation would be the hall mark of future economic and political ties of the world.
The visit, he said has tremendous significance to achieve the objectives of the initiative.
He said the fruits of the visit of Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff to China has started pouring in and both counties should expedite this project for the benefit of the two countries.
He also urged that the elements that caused suspension of the work on the project should also be brought to account.
Talking to reporters Mustafa Malik said that it was first visit of the Chinese Foreign Minister after taking oath that makes it more significant and highlights the significance of CPEC for both the countries.
Pakistan is passing through a bad financial patch at present and Chinese leadership has assured Pakistan of her complete support and cooperation to mitigate Pak financial woes.
The visit of the Chinese Foreign Minister is a reiteration of the two countries that they are standing with each other on other regional and international geo- political issues.
On the 10th anniversary of starting cooperation on CPEC, it is expected both the countries would further be close and hold a series of seminars, events and mutual cooperation agreements and exchange of officials and peoples delegations to each other’s countries.
He was of the view that Pakistan Tehreek Insaf created hurdles in the smooth functioning of CPEC otherwise the project would have proven itself as a real game changer. The people of Pakistan would had not been suffering as they are currently if the project was allowed to move ahead on its routine pace.
Both the countries have common interest in Road and Belt initiatives of China that would turn up as a real game changer. Malik highlighted the need to have political stability in the country to reap the full benefits of the project and its early yield.
