PNCA Hosts ‘Hues of Pakistan’ Exhibit Featuring Young Artists

ISLAMABAD: As part of the celebrations for Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day, the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) hosted the “Hues of Pakistan” art exhibition, showcasing the rich cultural heritage and artistic talents of the nation’s youth.

The event was inaugurated by National Heritage and Culture Division Secretary Hasan Nasir Jamy.

In his remarks, Jamy stated, “It is with great honor that I inaugurate the exhibition, ‘Hues of Pakistan: Art Competition and Exhibition for the Youth,’ which has been specially organized to celebrate Pakistan as Independence Day approaches.”

He added, “This significant occasion offers us a unique opportunity to recognize and celebrate our youth’s remarkable creativity while honoring our beloved nation’s rich cultural and historical heritage.”

Jamy extended his heartfelt congratulations to all the young participants, hoping the event would be a memorable milestone in their artistic journeys.

PNCA Director of Visual Arts Division (VAD) Mariam Ahmed also shared her thoughts: “We received an overwhelming response to this art competition this year, with more than 200 artworks from across Pakistan included in this exhibition.”

The top ten winners of the art competition were selected by a panel of judges, and the Chief Guest distributed shields and certificates among them. The winners were Anwar Khan, Sana Ullah, Hadia Hashmi, Haleema Aziz, Huzaila Zahid, Humna Aslam, Mishal Mahsud, Noor Fatima Qureshi, Saman Aziz Mughal, and Syeda Mahrukh.

The exhibition also featured contributions from many senior and emerging artists.

The main objective of the exhibition was to provide a platform for youth to display their talent and creativity, encouraging artistic expression and innovation.

The exhibition will continue until August 23, 2024. The PNCA invites art enthusiasts, media, and the general public to visit and celebrate this momentous occasion and the artistic expressions of our talented youth.
