Poetry of Habiba Kiani

book reading The News Today TNT

Depression

The wounded soul, bawd tongue, sewed lips.

Advertisment

Parlous events, haunting memories, Jittery heart,

Sleepless nights, pangs of remorse, the soul sips

Walking alone in horde of chants

Prayer

In the Tsunami of problems pray, know Allah knows all, the One who helped Yusuf (A.S) in the dark well,

Who made way for Moosa (A.S) in the sea, Protected Younas (A.S) in the belly of fish

Cooled the fire of Ibrahim (A.S), Helped Nuh’s (A.S) boat a safe Sail to top of hill

Allah listens to your griefs, sorrow, trust Allah, the “Bestower” of your wish

Friends

Peace of mind, colors of life

Gift of God, guidance to right path

Adds royalty and magnate to the life

In the world of thorns, is rose bed and silky path

Hope

The affix of our spirit, star knowledge of our life

Shamrock of our heart, butterfly to our modifying world

Deer’s antler of strength, Easter lilies of resurging life

Phoenix of soul, rainbow after storm, dove for peace of the world

Rainbow

Testimony of God’s honor, His forgiveness, add beauty to nature

Red is for liveliness, Orange signifies innovation, yellow shows Intelligence

Green represent balance, blue endure divinity, indigo manifests conscious stature

Violet exhibit enlightenment, shows God mercy towards repentance
