Police register 190 cases over SOP violations in Lahore

LAHORE: Lahore police have started a strict crackdown against the violators of the coronavirus SOPs as 190 cases have been registered against the SOP violators in the provincial capital in the last 24 hours.

The police have also registered more than 70 FIRs against people who were not wearing the masks.

The cases were also filed for not observing the social distance and strolling aimlessly.

The Islampura police had registered the first FIR against a citizen named Javed for not wearing mask. The police are filing cases under the provisions of the Corona Ordinance.

The coronavirus positivity ratio is over 20 percent in Lahore and the provincial government is considering a 14-day complete lockdown in the city in a meeting today (Monday).
