Gratitude is a feeling and an ability to express appreciation. It improves emotional, physical and relational well-being. This sense of joy also induces happiness and these results appear to be lasting.
Gratitude is both a mood and a personality trait. Some people are more likely to be grateful for their everyday life. It comes from your heart when you feel grateful to others.
Recently on Mother’s Day, I tried to show gratitude to my mother who had a great impact on my life. I am really grateful for what I have learnt from her.
If you want to express your feelings, do not keep them in your heart. It is always better to speak your heart out than confining it all inside. Being thankful for the things I have always valued has helped me live an easier life. These benefits have also been proved to …
Enhance confidence. You feel less worried about what you lack, and that can help raise your morale when you concentrate on appreciating what you have.
Now that I embrace myself and my life more, I do not really compare myself with others and I am proud to pave my own way. It gives me and my family the freedom to do anything without having to impress the world.
Gratitude prompts us to cherish our current state and to be more mindful of it. You will feel more connected with the present. I started to worry about what I did not before, and seemed to strive for it constantly. When I learned how to be thankful for myself and the most important phase — the present, everything changed. There is no better time than now. No better time! Practice gratitude now so you can completely live in the present.
Gratefulness means less worrying. Practicing it tends to take away your stress, making you feel content. I am able to live my life in a simpler and more relaxed way by eliminating all the pointless things that could cause stress.
Gratitude leads to generosity that can be tremendously rewarding. Exercising it makes us understand how lucky we are and that allows us to share more. I do not really like giving presents because I do not consider it as rewarding as helping someone. Of course, it is great to give someone a gift, but I think giving time and moral support is more important.
Gratitude also improves your sleep. The appreciation of our blessings and less worries allow us to sleep better. Think of the thoughts that bring joy if you are unable to fall asleep. Those who are grateful have less stress, reduced tension, less anxiety and better interpersonal interactions. Your overall health can be enhanced.
Coronavirus appears to have put the best and worst of humanity out. In these difficult times, be patient with yourself. This is the best gift you can give to yourself right now. And when it comes down to it, you deserve as much gratitude as you give to anyone else.
