ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi on Wednesday approved appointment of Justice Qazi Faez Isa as next chief justice of Pakistan.
The sitting CJP Umar Atta Bandial is going to retire on September 16, 2023 after completing his term and appointment of the new chief justice will be effective from September 17, under the Article 179 of the Constitution.

After taking oath on September 17, Justice Isa will become the 29th top judge of the country. President Arif Alvi will administer the oath to Justice Qazi Faez Isa.
