In a resounding declaration of hope and promise, Prime Minister Imran Khan proclaimed 2020 as the year of economic resurgence and job creation for Pakistan. Speaking at a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally in Pind Dadan Khan, the Prime Minister exuded confidence in the nation’s future despite acknowledging the challenges faced by the underprivileged in the outgoing year.
“We stabilized our economy in 2019,” asserted Prime Minister Imran Khan, attributing the progress to his government’s steadfast policies. He highlighted the upward trajectory of exports and remittances, showcasing a positive outlook for the nation’s financial landscape. The Prime Minister reiterated his commitment to steering Pakistan towards prosperity in the coming year.
However, amidst his vision for economic growth, Prime Minister Imran Khan didn’t shy away from calling out political adversaries for squandering national resources during their tenures. He denounced the corrupt elements hindering reform efforts, emphasizing that the government’s mission to combat corruption faced significant resistance from vested interests.
Undeterred by challenges, Prime Minister Imran Khan exuded determination to confront corruption head-on, assuring the nation that justice would prevail. He warned those who amassed wealth through illicit means that their days of impunity were numbered, signaling a forthcoming crackdown on corruption.
Furthermore, addressing regional tensions, Prime Minister Imran Khan underscored Pakistan’s unwavering resolve to defend its sovereignty. He praised the readiness of the Pakistan Army, under the leadership of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa, in safeguarding Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) against potential Indian aggression. The Prime Minister condemned Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s divisive policies, expressing solidarity with the oppressed in India and Kashmir.
