Private schools association calls for government support to tackle out-of-school children crisis

ISLAMABAD: Dr. Malik Abrar Hussain, the central president of the All Pakistan Private Schools and Colleges Association, emphasized the urgent need for government intervention to address the concerning issue of over 2.6 million out-of-school children in Pakistan.

During the first meeting of the newly elected central executive body of the association, Dr. Malik Abrar Hussain underscored the importance of providing land for private school construction and offering interest-free loans to facilitate educational development. He advocated for the establishment of laboratories and libraries in registered private educational institutions.

The meeting, chaired by Dr. Malik Abrar Hussain, saw participation from several key members, including Senior Vice President Rana Sohail Ahmad and Secretary General Ashraf Haraj. Collectively, they highlighted the crucial role of the private education sector in Pakistan’s social and economic progress.

The association called upon the government to take decisive action to bring out-of-school children into the education system. It stressed the need for collaboration between the private education sector and the government to address the challenges faced by private educational institutions.

While expressing readiness to cooperate with the government, the association emphasized that the state must fulfill its responsibilities and take concrete steps to support private educational institutions.

The meeting concluded with a firm commitment from the All Pakistan Private Schools and Colleges Association to work in tandem with the government to overcome the obstacles hindering the education sector’s progress.
