Faisalabad: The Pakistan Single Window (PSW), in collaboration with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and the Faisalabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, organized an event under the Khadijah Women Entrepreneurship Program to empower women entrepreneurs and enhance their participation in international trade.
The event provided valuable insights into cross-border trade, e-commerce, digital marketing, customs procedures, access to finance, and emerging opportunities in green trade — all aimed at enabling women-led businesses to thrive in global markets.
TDAP, through its Women Entrepreneurship Division (WED), has consistently supported women-led enterprises by offering training, market linkages, and opportunities to showcase products internationally. Partnering with PSW in Faisalabad, TDAP is helping women entrepreneurs understand trade regulations and meet the sustainability standards increasingly demanded by global buyers. This collaboration strengthens their competitiveness while aligning with international sustainability trends.
As part of its flagship initiative to modernize cross-border trade, PSW continues to promote women’s participation in global markets through the Khadijah Program. Recently recognized with the WTO Global Award for Gender Equality in Trade, the initiative combines trade facilitation with capacity building to equip women entrepreneurs with the tools and knowledge required for success. Aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, it encourages inclusive, environmentally responsible, and digitally enabled trade practices.
Aftab Haider, CEO of PSW, emphasized the program’s significance and its contribution to global sustainability efforts. “The Khadijah Program is central to our mission of equipping women entrepreneurs with digital and trade skills for the modern economy. Through our partnership with TDAP’s Women Entrepreneurship Division, we are creating opportunities that empower women-led businesses to compete globally while fostering inclusion and innovation in Pakistan’s trade ecosystem,” he said.
Ms. Qurat Ul Ain, Vice President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), attended as the Chief Guest and highlighted the role of women in driving sustainable economic growth. “The global market today demands businesses to lead with both innovation and responsibility. Women entrepreneurs in Faisalabad can be at the forefront of this change by embracing digital tools and sustainable practices. The Khadijah Program ensures that Pakistani women are well-prepared to lead and succeed globally,” she stated.
The event also featured expert-led sessions on finance, international marketing, trade compliance, and sustainable business practices. These discussions offered participants practical guidance to expand exports, improve operations, and meet international standards.
Ms. Mahina Ghalib, Deputy Director of TDAP’s Women Entrepreneurship Division, noted, “Through this collaboration with PSW, we are extending greater opportunities to women entrepreneurs nationwide, especially in regions with limited market access. By connecting them to training, mentorship, and digital trade facilitation, we ensure women are not just participants in Pakistan’s trade journey, but leaders of it.”
The Khadijah Program continues to play a vital role in empowering women entrepreneurs across Pakistan, providing them with the knowledge, networks, and tools to succeed globally. It aligns with PSW’s broader vision of fostering inclusive growth and building a resilient, competitive trade ecosystem.
