PTI continues taking brave stand on issues of Sindh: Haleem Adil

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Vice President and the leader of opposition in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh has said that his party would continue to take a brave stand on problems of Sindh.

Addressing a press conference after visiting the IRSA headquarters where the PTI parliamentarians were given a briefing on water issues, he said Sindh is our province and we have to fight for its rights.

PTI leaders Firdous Shamim Naqvi, Khurram Sherzaman, Bilal Ghaffar and others also participated in the meeting from Karachi on video link. IRSA chairman, member Sindh, member Balochistan and member Federal were also present.

Haleem Adil said that in Sindh more than 40 per cent voters have given vote to us. He said Sindh government is talking on its own agenda, but we as the opposition are talking on behalf of the people.

He said Sindh and Sindh government are two separate things. He said funds amongst provinces are distributed on the basis of revenue collection. He said due to coronavirus and lockdown last year revenue collection has decreased.

He said Bilawal and Murad Ali Shah are misleading people to provoke them. He said Punjab got Rs 475 billion less and KPK got Rs 276 billion less. He said Sindh government is doing politics on this issue.

He said as per a report of Sindh planning and development department 44 per cent of funds has been embezzled.

He said that due to global warming less water came to rivers and the PPP made it a political issue.

He said this party to hide its corruption wants a fight between Sindh and Federation. He said as per water formula of Bilawal more rains bring more water. He said Bilawal should also learn that less rains bring less water.

He said still Sindh was given more water. He said PPP men are involved in water theft. He said Bilawal Zardari family is amongst beneficiaries of 330 direct water connections from canals. He said PPP chairman and some 22 ministers are wanted by NAB. He said Anwar Siyal has destroyed irrigation department.

He said corruption of billions of rupees is made this department. He said there is a dacoit Raj in Sindh. He said action should also be taken against dacoits of Pacca.
