ISLAMABAD: PTI led Government is using this human suffering of Coronavirus epidemic to further a political agenda, which is unfortunate, said Mian Raza Rabbani, former Chairman Senate.
In a statement issued here on Sunday, former Chairman Senate said, “The statement of the Prime Minister made yesterday has dashed to the ground all hopes that the war against the pandemic is going to be a national effort”.
“It is unfortunate that the PTI Government is using this human suffering to further a political agenda”, he said, adding the creation of the Tiger Force read with statement of the PM, is a clear message, if you want to have support of the state to fight the virus then you must be a member of the ruling party.
Taking forward the ideology of popular fascism the Government has put a stark choice before the people, be prepared to duffer the virus and starvation if you don’t change your political affiliation, Senator Rabbani said.
“This was a time to unite the nation in the war against the virus, instead it is being used to further a narrow political agenda of the ruling party” he said.
He said that these actions have proved that the Government is a diverse force in Pakistan’s politics. “The cat is out of the bag in order to survive change your political affliction”, Senator Rabbani concluded.
