SARGODHA : Punjab Minister for Human Rights and Minorities Affairs (HR&MA), Ijaz Alam Augustine has said that the provincial government has announced 30 million rupees grant on the occasion of upcoming Christmas.
Addressing a ceremony in Civil Hall Sargodha in connection with Minority Day and Independence Day on Friday, Ijaz Alam said that in accordance with the vision of Quaid-e-Azam, followers of all religions have equal rights in Pakistan and are playing an active role in national development without any discrimination.
He said that minorities had deep love for Pakistan and had rendered invaluable sacrifices for the country.
The Provincial Minister said that Punjab is on the road to success under the tremendous leadership of Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and Initiatives taken by the provincial government for the Christian community has been applauded by all over the world.
Representatives of civil society, minority’s leaders and large number of participants belonging to minority attended the ceremony. (INP/SB/AK)
