Punjab Reports Over 30 Dengue Fever Cases in Last 24 Hours

LAHORE: The threat of dengue fever looms all over Pakistan, as Punjab alone has reported 31 cases during last 24 hours.

According to details, Rawalpindi had reported 30 cases, whereas Lahore registered one case of the dengue fever.

Meanwhile, Punjab has reported 266 cases in the last one week.

Moreover, the province has reported 786 cases in the ongoing year.

Separately, Balochistan is still under threat from Congo fever, Quetta on Sunday reported another two cases of the Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF).

According to details, two of the suspected patients, receiving treatment at the Fatima Jinna Hospital’s isolation ward, contacted the Congo fever.

Dr Muhammad Ali said: “Two days ago, two patients succumbed to Congo fever.”

“Nine patients have succumbed to the Congo fever in Balochistan in the ongoing year,” Ali added.
