RAWALPINDI: Railways Hospital Rawalpindi is ready to accommodate more than 450 coronavirus patients, said Railway Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed here on Monday.
Talking to media, Sheikh Rashid said quarantine facilities have been made available at 570 train stations of the country.
Railway Hospitals are being established at seven railways stations, he said and added that 65 dispensaries of Pakistan Railways have been dedicated for the affected persons.
The Minister Pakistan Railways said that all freight trains are working in the country. Pakistan Railways is playing a crucial role in transportation of oil, pulses and other commodities in all parts of the country, he maintained.
Sh. Rashid said that the next fifteen days are very important with respect to coronavirus. The passenger trains will remain closed till further orders, he concluded.
