ISLAMABAD: Rana Tanveerm senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) was elected as Chairman Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of National Assembly in s session held on Thursday in Parliament House.
Leader of the opposition in the National Assembly and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Shehbaz Sharif had resigned from the position earlier, leaving the position open for a new appointment.

Sardar Nasarullah Dareshak proposed the name of Rana Tanveer for Chairman of the PAC, which was endorsed by Mushahid Hussain Sayed.
The meeting of the PAC as per the earlier understanding between the treasury and the opposition had elected Shehbaz Sharif as the chair.
