RAWALPINDI: Rangers personnel have been deployed in four major cities of Punjab including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan and Gujrat as protests by a religious group blocking roads and disrupting routine life severely continued.
The Punjab Home Debarment on Tuesday maintained that Rangers have been called in for deployment in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan and Gujrat.
The Home Department said whichever city will ask for Rangers the department will comply with the demand accordingly.
The protest by religious party workers has brought life to a standstill in several major cities of the province where protesters and police are in a conscious effort to block and open the highways respectively since the last day evening.
