ISLAMABAD: Indian Air Force Wing Commander Abhinandan after his return to India is going through detailed investigations in his country, sources told The News Today. Pakistan on Friday released and repatriated Abhinandan to India as good-will gesture to give peace a chance.
Pakistan Air Force (PAF) after striking down two Indian fighter jets arrested Abhinandan on Feb 27, who ejected himself after being hit in the airspace of Pakistan in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Before reaching home and joining his family, Abinandan would be going through vigorous process of all sorts of investigations by Indian military. He would be taken to his base where he would be asked questions regarding his custody time in Pakistan.

Pakistani officials have provided him medical certificate to India when he was handed over to them. Indians would again conduct his medical check-up including his urine and blood tests.

He would continue to be under radar for some time, before he would be given any important task. Hours after the arrest, Pakistan military had released a video statement of a captured Indian pilot.
“I’m wing commander Abhinandan and my service number is 27981,” the arrested Indian pilot confirmed in his video statement. He is seen sharing his views and thanking the Pakistan armed forces for saving his life from the mob at crash site.
