Result-oriented staff to be rewarded: Chawla

KARACHI: Result-oriented staff will be given award and appreciation in cash and kind to boost their moral and capability. Appreciation certificates and cash reward will be given to result-oriented staff on detection of huge quantity of narcotics while departmental action will also be taken against those who are found showing poor performance.

This were unanimous views of a meeting, chaired by Sindh minister for Excise and Taxation & Narcotics Control and Parliamentary Affairs Mukesh Kumar Chawla here on today.

Secretary Excise and Taxation & Narcotics Control Abdul Haleem Shaikh , Director General ET & NC Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui and other officers also attended the meeting.

Addressing the meeting Provincial minister Mukesh Kumar Chawla warned them if they were unable to show good results in detecting the narcotics, the control of narcotics might be transferred to Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF). He also directed to attend the complaints against the department properly.

Provincial minister asked to make appointments against disabled quota as per rules and regulations and he would not tolerate any malfunctioning in this regard. He added, ‘ All officers and officials should show better performance living in existing resources and make sure good recovery of the taxes’.

Mukesh Kumar Chawla also asked to launch a vigorous Road Checking Campaign to nab the owners of tax defaulting vehicles in next month.
