LAHORE: Two robbers have gunned a schoolteacher and injured his son on resistance during a robbery attempt in Najaf Colony of Allama Iqbal Town Lahore.
The teacher and his son returning home after withdrawing money from an ATM when two bandits on a motorcycle attempted to snatch cash from them.
They resisted and scuffled with the robbers who opened an indiscriminate fire onb the two.
As a result, the schoolteacher got bullet injuries and died instantly whereas his son received injuries and was admitted to hospital.
The schoolteacher was appointed at Central Model School, Samnabad and was scheduled to depart to Saudi Arabia for performing Hajj on Sunday (today).
Having being informed, police reached the crime scene and started investigation. DIG Operations Muhammad Faisal Kamran took notice of the incident and ordered police to arrest the criminals at the earliest with help of surveillance cameras.
