Saudi Arabia to Host 1,000 Umrah Pilgrims from 16 Nations

 

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has announced the hosting of 1,000 male and female Umrah pilgrims from 16 countries under its Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah, and Visit, following a royal directive issued by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for the Islamic year 1448 AH.

As per the Saudi Gazette, the prestigious program will be implemented in four distinct batches throughout the year. The first group will comprise 250 pilgrims drawing from 16 Asian countries, including Indonesia, Timor-Leste, the Philippines, Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, Singapore, China, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Mongolia.

The royal initiative reflects Saudi Arabia’s ongoing commitment to serving Muslims worldwide and strengthening bonds with Islamic communities across the globe.
