NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Security forces successfully thwarted a major infiltration attempt by a group of terrorists during the night between April 5 and 6 in the general area of Hassan Khel, North Waziristan district.
According to official sources, a group of militants, identified as khawarij, attempted to cross the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
Their movement was swiftly detected by vigilant Pakistani forces, who responded with precision and strength.
Following an intense exchange of fire, eight terrorists were neutralized while four others sustained injuries.
The operation reflects Pakistan’s ongoing commitment to safeguarding its borders and eliminating the threat of terrorism.
A sanitization operation is currently underway in the area to ensure the complete clearance of any remaining threats.
Pakistan has consistently urged the interim afghan government to strengthen border management and prevent the use of afghan territory for launching terrorist attacks against Pakistan.
