MIANWALI: Seven people including Suraiki folk singer Sharafat Ali Khailvi were killed after a jeep they were riding fell into a canal in Mianwali district on early Thursday, rescuers and police said.
Among the dead was folk Suraiki singer besides six other who were on board the illfated vehicle.

The police said that the jeep’s driver apparently lost control over the steering. The incident took place near Wah Buchran.
After being alerted, Rescue 1122 divers rushed to the scene and managed to retrieve the bodies from deep water. Police are dealing the case.
