SAHIWAL: Punjab Minister for Energy Dr Akhtar Malik has said that the technical and vocational education is the way forward for Pakistan.
Addressing the students at the inauguration ceremony of Shandong Technical Training School System, Sahiwal on Thursday, Dr Akhtar Malik said that the institution will produce skilled human resource that our country needs the most.
He said that technical education was ignored in the past but the newly established technical school will go a long way in imparting technical skills and building professional capacity of local community.
It will not only serve the local industry prudently but also create employment opportunities for the youth, he said adding that this wonderful initiative will be a living symbol of deepening friendship between China and Pakistan.
The inauguration ceremony was also attended by Minister Agriculture Malik Nouman Langrial, Mr. Lee Schu Jink, Additional Chief Secretary Energy Syed Pervaiz Abbas and Secretary Energy Mr Aamir Jaan. (INP/SB)
