ISLAMABAD: Another Pakistani mountaineer Sirbaz Khan has raised the green flag on Mt Everest, the top of the world.
“Alhamdulilah! Sirbaz is on Mission14, a quest to become the first Pakistani mountaineer to scale all 14 peaks over 8000 m around the world”, Serena Hotels said in a press release on Wednesday.
A poignant moment, Sirbaz has dedicated his summit and ongoing quest to the departed Ali Sadpara.
Sirbaz used no supplemental oxygen in his expeditions which is a further testament to his grit and talent.
Today is a moment of immense pride and triumph for Pakistan and for Serena Hotels’ , Adventure Diplomacy which has sponsored Sirbaz through these remarkable expeditions, the statement added.
Let it sink in that this is the 7th over 8000 peak Sirbaz Khan has summited and his second in the last 26 days, the other being Mt Annapurna also in Nepal.
“We are praying for the safe return of our hero to base camp. Stay tuned for updates”, the statement added.
