Speakers highlight Kashmiris’ struggle for right to self-determination

KARACHI: Speakers of a seminar “Masla-e-Kashmir or uska Hal” held at Arts Council organized by the Human Rights Council of Pakistan (HRCP) on Wednesday highlight the justified struggle of Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination and Indian atrocities and human rights violations against armless and innocent people in Indian Occupied Kashmir.

Addressing the seminar, Chairman Kashmir Solution Front Altaf Ahmed Butt said that if Kashmiris talk about freedom only, they might be free but they are fighting to complete Pakistan. To fulfill the dream of Pakistan they are subjecting themselves to persecution, he added.

He said that this movement of freedom will not reach its conclusion until the people of Pakistan stands with the Kashmiris. The world should acknowledge that our fight is not from any religion but from oppression.

Head of Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK Raja Faheem Kiyani said “People in Kashmir are sacrificing with the belief that they will get freedom. Arab countries are the manor of Kings while Pakistan is the center of hopes for the Muslims around the world. Kashmiris are fighting with India not for the independence but for the love of Pakistan.

Chairman HRCP Jamshed Hussain said, “We have the relation of humanity with the Kashmiris so we will continue the struggle of independence. It is our endeavor to give Kashmiris the rights that United Nation has set for them. Our objective is to liberate Kashmiris from atrocities India has inflicted on Kashmiris.”

Addressing the seminar, Chairman Press & Publication dept. Bashir Saddozai said, “Kashmir is in the worst situation more than 16,000 young citizens are missing. Two crore Kashmiris has given the power to Hurriyat to decide their fate. It is the responsibility of leaders to deliver the nations to a destination. It is the leadership that decides the present & future of a nation.”

On the occasion chairman Kashmir Committee-Karachi Nadeem Awan said that today is the time for the final decision of Kashmir. There is no beautiful land like Kashmir in the world.

Today Kashmir is marginalized but Kashmiris stand with the slogan of independence. Kashmir has turned in to a cantonment. Atrocities have been attempted on Kashmiris so they can forget independence.

Consul Ameer Jamat-Kashmir Raja Muhammad Jahangir, Former MLA Kashmir Muhammad Salman Butt, Representative of Christian community Sunil, Secretary General Peoples party- Azaad Kashmir Iqbal Kashmir and others have also shared their opinions on the Kashmir Issue. Based on the current situations of Kashmiris a theatre play “Half widow” was shown in the seminar.
