The holy is once again out to prove that he is holier than the pope. The non-touchable are once again intruding in the world of Brahmans. The reason for offence may be that why they were not ‘consulted’.
Very bad on your part Mr. Prime Minister.
Pakistan, has seen Civil Bureaucrats as rulers, Military Bureaucrats as the ruling elite, and the politicians running the affairs.
“it takes us six months to corrupt a military government and it takes a year to corrupt a civilian government”
In real sense it was the bureaucracy which has ruled this poor nation. A late cousin of mine retired as the Secretary Establishment. On the occasion of the valima of his son, standing in a group of senior bureaucrats, I heard a bureaucrat saying; “it takes us six months to corrupt a military government and it takes a year to corrupt a civilian government”.
For me it was a strange statement. I requested him to explain. He gave a big laugh before answering. The answer was in Punjabi.
In brief, it was, “the military follows the rules and regulations. Therefore, within six months of coming to power, when stately affairs comes to a standstill, that is when the bureaucracy puts its claws down. On the contrary, the politicians are crooks enough, hence it takes a little longer to control them”.
Draw your own conclusions.
Everyone is expecting miracle to be performed by Imran Khan. Judiciary is no exception. But, no one is ready to find the magic lamp for him, which on rubbing would release a genei, to whom the master would command to put the things right, mutilated by the past rulers.
Only one faction has been left out to rule the wretched Pakistani people. That is the clique of our High Court and Supreme Court judges.
seeds of discord had been sown by the judges like Munir, Maulvi Mushtaq, Nasim Hassan Shah, Qayyum, Iftikhar Choudhry
In the chequered history of Pakistan, seeds of discontent and discord had been sown by the judges like Munir, Maulvi Mushtaq, Nasim Hassan Shah, Qayyum, Iftikhar Choudhry etc. Who will make them accountable? For sure, not the present lot.
Mr. Prime Minister, you are the one who has to make the decision. Your parliament is redundant. The opposition is not interested in any sort of legislation. Go ahead and take the reins in your hand.
Haider Mehdi in his latest article has narrated an actual episode of your Principal Secretary Azam Khan. Are you now controlled by the bureaucrats around you? If not, then step forward.
Declare the emergency!.
Let your handpicked President, issue an ordinance. Make the smallest possible set up for governance. Lynch the licentious rodents of politics. Force them to cough out the looted wealth of my country. Discipline them. Stomp your foot Mr. Prime Minister.
