BANNU: At least five civilians killed, 13 others were injured, including a policeman when a suicide car bomb attack at the Domel Police Station in Bannu.
The incident took place when an explosives-laden vehicle rammed into the rear side of the police station, causing a massive blast followed by an exchange of gunfire.
Bakhtullah Wazir, District Emergency Officer has confirmed that five people were martyred and 13 injured were shifted to hospitals, including one police officer.
He added that search and rescue operations are ongoing and will continue until the area is fully cleared.
Among the deceased are a husband, wife, daughter and son from the same family.
All injured were taken to a nearby hospital, where they are receiving immediate medical care.
The explosion was so powerful that it was heard miles away. Residents and rescue teams are removing debris and assisting with relief efforts.
Officials are still assessing the full extent of the damage and collecting extra information regarding the incident. Investigations are underway to determine the circumstances behind the attack.

Pakisitan’s KP province has seen a surge in terror attacks in the past year. As per the Annual Security Report 2025 from the Centre for Research and Security Studies (CRSS), KP saw a notable escalation in violence last year, with fatalities increasing from 1,620 in 2024 to 2,331 in 2025.
