SWAT: The University of Swat (UOS) on Tuesday organised the Scotland Pakistan Scholarship Award Distribution Ceremony aimed at supporting talented students by easing their financial burden and enabling them to continue their higher education.
During the ceremony, a total of six scholarships, amounting to Rs. 942,530, were distributed among six deserving students under the Scotland Pakistan Scholarship Programme.
On the occasion, Vice Chancellor of UOS Prof Dr Hassan Sher highlighted the significance of such scholarship programms in promoting academic excellence and creating equal opportunities for students. He praised the continued collaboration between Pakistan and Scotland in strengthening the education sector and encouraged students to remain dedicated to their studies.
The ceremony was attended by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher (SAARC Gold Medalist), along with officials from the University of Swat and the Financial Aid Office.
The scholarship recipients attended the event and also expressed their gratitude for the support provided.
The Scotland Pakistan Scholarships for Young Women and Girls funds graduate studies for Pakistani women in any HEC recognized university across Pakistan.
Funded by the Scottish Government, these grants aim to make higher education more accessible to women, supporting them in achieving their potential and ambition.
