Ten hurt, shops, vehicles damage as LPG tanker explodes in Shahdara Lahore

LAHORE: Ten people sustained serious burn injuries after a tanker carrying liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), catches fire near Lahore‘s Shahdara Chowk on Wednesday.

According to rescue sources, the tanker carrying LPG, exploded after catches fire near Lahore‘s Shahdara Chowk. As a result, many people sustained severe burn injuries.

Tanker blasts near Shahdra Chowk Lahore caused panic among people and some eyewitnesses said the powerful explosion broke the window glasses of nearby buildings in the area.

The fire went intensive further when it engulfed a nearby petrol pump station. While clouds of smokes can be seen growing from the scene in the video.

Blaze caused after explosion gutted nearby petrol pump, shops and vehicles. A numbers of vehicles also damaged in the incident as the fire also engulfed a nearby vehicles parking stand.

Receiving information about the incident, ten fire tenders and teams arrived at the scene and launched an operation.

The rescue officials said injured were rushed to hospital for treatment where six of them are in critical condition.

Rescues officials and fire brigade team immediately responded to the incident and still trying to douse the fire.
