Prominent international magazine ‘The Atlantic’ has termed India’s revocation of Jammu and Kashmir’s special status a grave mistake having disastrous consequences for India as well as the region.
The magazine in its opinion writes that by trying to tighten its grip on Kashmir, India has not only put the region on the verge of war but has also risked its democracy and federalism.

It says the manner in which Article-370 of the constitution was scrapped shows brittleness in Indian democracy.(RP)
