Third Wave of COVID-19: Pakistan crosses grim mark of 14,000 death mark

ISLAMABAD: Third Wave of Coronavirus pandemic is continue across the Pakistan and demanding extra-ordinary care from people as the death  toll from Virus jumped to 14,000 mark on Thursday.

During last 24 hours 63 new deaths were reported besides 3,946 people were tested positive to virus, which was highest in a year.

On Thursday morning the country has reported 63 new deaths by COVID-19 and 3,946 more people were tested positive to the virus round the Pakistan.

Nationwide infections surged to new high during last one year as 3,946 were tested to coronavirus epidemic besides 63 more deaths were confirmed. With 3,946 new infections reported in the country that took the toll to 640,988 cases and with 63 new deaths the toll of fatalities jumped to 14,028.

According to the latest figures displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the NCOC confirmed the death of 63 more people during last 24 hours besides reported that 3,946 persons tested positive for COVID-19.

Sindh with 263,815 overall coronavirus epidemic infections remained the worst-hit province of the country in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.

So far across the country 263,815 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 205,314 in Punjab, 81,787 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 19,395 in Balochistan, 53,684 in Islamabad, 12,016 in Azad Kashmir and 4,977 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Nationwide tally of fatalities remains 14,028 out of that 6,099 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 4,482 in Sindh, 2,246 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 205 in Balochistan, 554 in Islamabad, 339 in Azad Kashmir and 103 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Pakistan has so far conducted 9,934,373 coronavirus tests and 38,858 in the last 24 hours. 588,975 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,587 patients are in critical condition.
