ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir has said that anyone inciting rebellion within Pakistan’s security institutions is an enemy of the country.
Speaking at the Overseas Pakistanis Convention, the Army Chief emphasized the importance of educating the younger generation about the Two-Nation Theory and Pakistan’s historical journey. “You are not only ambassadors of Pakistan, but the light that brightens the global stage,” he told the overseas community.
General Munir rejected the narrative of brain drain, calling it instead a “brain gain”, and urged overseas Pakistanis to represent Pakistan with dignity and pride across the world.
He asserted that the resilient people of Pakistan stand firmly with their armed forces, and that no force can harm the country. “The Pakistani nation holds its martyrs in the highest regard,” he said.
Referring to the ongoing fight against terrorism, General Munir declared, “A handful of terrorists cannot stop Pakistan from moving toward a brighter future. Even ten generations of terrorists cannot damage Balochistan or Pakistan. Balochistan is the crown jewel and the destiny of Pakistan.”
He added that a state where all institutions function according to the Constitution and law is called a “hard state”, implying strength and stability.
On international matters, the COAS reaffirmed that Kashmir remains Pakistan’s jugular vein. He also expressed solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza, stating, “The hearts of all Pakistanis beat with the Muslims of Gaza. We must not lose hope or fall into despair.”
