Three Soldiers Martyred, Four Terrorists Killed in Tirah Operation

RAWALPINDI: A fierce encounter between security forces and terrorists in the Tirah Valley of Khyber District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on August 9, 2024, resulted in the martyrdom of three brave soldiers.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Havaldar Inam Gul, Sepoy Muhammad Imran, and Sepoy Iltaf Khan laid down their lives in the line of duty, fighting valiantly against the terrorists.

Havaldar Inam Gul, a 37-year-old resident of Mianwali, served the country for 15 years and 6 months. He leaves behind his parents, wife, and siblings. His dedication and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Sepoy Muhammad Imran, a 29-year-old from Tank, served for 9 years. He is survived by his parents, wife, and siblings. His bravery and commitment to the nation will always be remembered.

Sepoy Muhammad Altaf Khan, a 22-year-old from Mardan, served for 2 years. He leaves behind his parents and a sister. His sacrifice will not go in vain, and his memory will inspire others to stand against terrorism.

The operation, which took place at three different locations, successfully neutralised four terrorists. However, three soldiers also embraced martyrdom in the intense firefight, who were hailed as heroes for their sacrifice.

The security forces are conducting a sanitisation operation to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the area. The incident has reinforced the resolve of the security forces to eradicate terrorism from the region.
