SRINAGAR: A two-year-old girl who went missing on Monday morning in south Kashmir’s Shopian district was found dead near a stream later in the day.
The child, a resident of Kumdallan village, had disappeared from her home earlier in the morning. Following an extensive search by locals and police, her body was discovered near a nearby nallah (stream).

Authorities have sent the body for medico-legal formalities.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause and circumstances of her death.
