ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety (PA&SS) Faisal Karim Kundi in a video message on Monday said that Government for the very first time included transgender community as beneficiaries of Benazir Kafalat Programme which makes them them eligible for quarterly cash assistance if Rs 7000.
He urged the transgender community to get themselves registered in their NADRA CNIC as transgender and file their case in nearest tehsil office of the BISP to get benefit the this facility. He also advised already registered transgenders that if they are not getting cash assistant under Benazir Kafalat Programme, they should immediately file an appeal with their relevant BISP Tehsil office so that their package can be release at earliest if otherwise they found eligible.
He reiterated that only NADRA registered transgenders who are eligible in all respects be be able to receive Rupees 7000 cash assistance after verification of their data and eligibility.
Kundi encourage the transgenders to visit nearest BISP Tehsil office or call help line 0800477 incase of any difficulty in registration process or any other query.
