Gokhan expressed that it was his dream to start a project in Pakistan when he was appointed in Pakistan and was so happy to sea the progress and education level in this remote area of southern Punjab.
Aisha Gurmani (Principal), thanked the Turkish agency and Turkey as a whole, on precious gift of school to the remote area (of southern Punjab) and also regarding uniforms and sweaters donation to the deserving students in freezing weather.
It is pertinent to mention that school building also had been a valuable gift from the government of Turkey to this area, effected by davestated floods of 2010.
During 2010 flash floods in Pakistan, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan not only visited the effected areas but also promised to built a boys and a girls school in every province of Pakistan.
Baseera, Muzaffargarh was also among flood effected areas, where Turkish government had fulfilled her promise by building a girls school and a hostel in 2014. Turkish agency TIKA has ensured the provision of furniture and all other accessories, and handed, the school and hostel, over to education ministry.
Initially, in this far flung remote area provincial education ministry in collaboration with Danish care project started primary classes at the school but now it’s turned into high school, really a success story, with strength reached upto 1600 students.
