ISLAMABAD: Coronavirus pandemic has claimed twelve more lives across Pakistan besides 624 more people were tested positive during last 24 hours.
With the 624 new coronavirus cases confirmed during last 24 hours, the toll of COVID-19 infections jumped to 316,351 while with twelve new deaths confirmed the nation-wide tally of fatalities has jumped to 6,535.
The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has confirmed that 624 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 in 24 hours and twelve more people have lost their lives to COVID-19 in the country.
According to figures released on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the NCOC at 1:00pm on Wednesday, October 07, the toll of coronavirus positive cases reached to 316,351 and Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of infections with 138,891 cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.
The figure shows that 138,891 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 100,148 in Punjab, 38,141 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15,439 in Balochistan, 16,936 in Islamabad, 3,884 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 2,912 in Azad Kashmir.
As far the death toll in concerned the figures shows overall 6,535 deaths were reported in the country as Sindh crossed the toll of deaths in Punjab. 2,531 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in the province, 2,245 in Punjab, 1,263 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 146 in Balochistan, 184 in Islamabad, 89 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 77 in Azad Kashmir.
Pakistan has so far conducted 3,730,221 coronavirus tests and 27,614 in last 24 hours. 301,288 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 499 patients are in critical condition.
