SIALKOT: Unknown armed motorcyclists shot dead a senior lawyer Sajjad Ahmed Dhadra in front of the building of the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) on Paris Road here on Wednesday.
Reportedly, lawyer Sajjad Ahmed Dhadra was going to his chamber in Sialkot Kutchery in his car, when some unknown armed motorcyclists opened fire on him, killing him on the spot. Accused fled away.
A large number of the local lawyers gathered there. They also strongly protested there against this brutal murder.
Sialkot District and Session Judge (DSJ) Ch. Tariq Javaid and Sialkot DPO Capt (Rtd) Mustansar Feroz also reached the spot and they inquired about the incident. They assured the protesting lawyers about early arrest of the accused killers thee.
Meanwhile, the lawyers in Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur , today, observed strike this brutal murder.
Sialkot District Bar Association (DBA) also held protest meeting. Lawyers condemned this brutal murder of their senior colleague. They unanimously passed condemnation resolution and demanded early arrest of the killers.
Protesting lawyers said that the police have miserably failed to protect the lawyers in Sialkot.
Sialkot DBA has also announced two-day mourning to mourn this killing.
Police said that an old enmity was the main reason behind this brutal murder.
Police shifted dead body to Govt. Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital Sialkot for autopsy.
Local police officials said that police have got the CCTV Cameras footages of this incident. Police said that accused would be arrested soon, as the police teams were raiding at various places to ensure the early arrest of the accused.
