SIALKOT: Voting for by-election of Punjab Provincial Assembly constituency PP-38 Sialkot is underway under strict security arrangements.
According to details, 165 polling stations have been established for the 233,422 registered voters of the constituency. Rangers and Police have been deployed to ensure peaceful voting.

The seat fell vacant after the death of PML-N MPA Chaudhry Khush Akhtar Subhani. Ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the opposition Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) are eyeing the provincial assembly seat.
A neck-and-neck contest is expected between PML-N candidate Chaudhry Tariq Subhani and PTI’s Chaudhry Ahsan Saleem Baryar.
