‘Will repeat what they did in 2018’: PTI senator confirms party participation in NA session

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Waleed Iqbal stated on Wednesday that the elected members of the party will participate in the inaugural session of the National Assembly, affirming that they will “surely repeat what they [PML-N] did in the 2018 assembly.”

“Other parties consider our reserved seats as spoils of war,” the former lawmaker claimed, adding that people are realising that the state’s “policy” regarding PTI hasn’t changed.

Linking the issue of reserved seats to the decision of the party’s electoral symbol, Iqbal said: “Little attention has been paid to the Peshawar High Court’s decision. When a certain forum has made up its mind, all the arguments of the lawyers are merely rendered futile.”

An increase of 10-20 seats in PML-N-PPP’s numerical majority would “weaken their position in the future,” Iqbal predicts.
