JACOBABAD: Woman died due to negligence of doctors during delivery operation. Heirs on Saturday held protest demonstration against the lady doctor who operated the woman and demanded to arrest her.
According to details, s-section of a woman identified as Nasreen Mastoi w/o Naseebullah was conducted by Dr Farheen Pathan some three months earlier at a private clinic in Jacobabad city.
The operation was conducted successfully; however, the doctor mistakenly left a cloth inside the ovary of the patient.
Despite passage of weeks, the woman continued to feel pain and when taken to another doctor was told about presence of cloth in her ovary. The woman was operated again to remove cloth for her over but did not recover and expired.
Heirs of the deceased along with dead body held protest demonstration against the medics outside the private clinic. However, the doctor and other staff of the clinic escaped from the scene. The protestors demanded to arrest the doctor responsible for death of Nasreen.
Heavy contingent of police reached the scene and brought situation under control.
Meanwhile, a case was registered against Dr Farheen Pathan and investigation was underway.
