RAWALPIND: Women gives birth to baby in washroom of Gynae ward of Government hospital. Due to prolong delay in shifting to labour room, a woman gave birth to a baby in washroom of gyae OPD of Benazir Bhutto General Hospital on Thursday.
According to details, 22-year-old woman was shifted to Benazir Bhutto General Hospital for delivery.
However, the hospital staff used delaying tactics in admitting the patient due to which her condition deteriorated after which she went to washroom of gyane OPD where she gave birth to a baby.
Later, the baby and mother were shifted to a ward where the gynecology staff took an undertaking in written form from the woman that she had received her baby alive and in good condition.
Meanwhile the, administration of the hospital, taking notice off the occurrence, directed the gynecology department to avoid delay in shifting the women with delivery cases to labour room in future.
