Life is unpredictable for people who are guilty of killing, stealing money and valuable things. They can get arrested any time and be punished for the crimes they have committed.
Then there are culprits who are never caught, neither there is any proof of their wrongdoings because their crimes are not a punishable offense in the eyes of law. They cannot even question something uncertain happening in their lives because if they do, they might not have a solid answer.
They would not be able to comprehend something unusual happening in their lives, no matter what their senses and gut feelings tell them.
For instance, there are many people who keep on living their lives even after hurting, misbehaving and wounding someone’s soul by their harsh comments, backbiting, pulling their legs and bullying them, assuming that no one saw them.
They can oversee their feelings of regret. These people are pretentious, portraying themselves to be pious, gentle and kind. They carry on with their lives, starting new relationships, getting appreciated and applauded by their loved ones and somehow this fake recognition makes them feel confident and pleased. But deep down inside, they know their true selves and when they are alone, they get deprived of all those happy feelings and sadness takes over their mind.
What brings this restlessness?
What took away all that pleasure?
Clearly the consequences of their evil deeds deprived them off their peaceful solitude. They couldn’t care less about the people who fell victim to their atrocities. Despite of being blessed by God, they feel depressed because their guilty conscience does not let them rest.
There is a moment in life where everything becomes crystal clear. As an expiation for all their bad deeds, Allah takes away their peaceful sleep, their blessings and overwhelms them with everyday hustles to the point that they cannot enjoy their lives. Allah can forgive His rights but not of His creation’s.
Thus, we should seek forgiveness from Allah and from those who we have wronged, so we can continue our lives with pure happiness and blessings favored upon us by our Lord.
