KARACHI: At least five people were killed and several others injured after the roof and a wall of an under-construction house collapsed in Karachi’s Orangi Town on Thursday, rescue sources said.
As per the rescue sources, several people were trapped under the rubble after the roof and wall of the under-construction house collapsed.
Rescue teams and police reached the site soon after receiving information about the incident.
Rescue sources said that the bodies and injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah took notice of the incident and sought a detailed report from the relevant authorities.
He expressed grief over the loss of lives, directing the hospital administration to provide the injured with immediate and best possible medical treatment.
