NAB tightens its grip against Rauf Siddiqui

KARACHI:

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Thursday named former provincial minister and Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Rauf Siddiqui and others in a case pertaining to the illegal appointments in Sindh Small Industries Corporation.

NAB presented its inquiry report pertaining to the illegal appointments in Sindh Small Industries Corporation in front of chief justice Sindh High Court (SHC) Ali Ahmad Sheikh in which they named former minister and MQM-P leader Rauf Siddiqui and others in the case.

NAB prosecutor told the court that the anti-graft body has evidence against the MQM-P leader and a letter has been written to headquarters for filing a reference against him.

To this, the court has ordered the accountability watchdog to present its report on May 2. Rauf Siddiqui is accused of making illegal appointments during his tenure as minister. (INP)
