GAZA: Israeli attacks on Gaza continued on Sunday and killed 92 more Palestinians, including 56 who were waiting for aid. The humanitarian crisis in the besieged strip has worsened, with severe food shortages pushing Gaza deeper into famine.
According to reports six more Palestinians have died by hunger, bringing the total number of starvation-related deaths to 175, including 93 children
Meanwhile, More than 600 former senior Israeli security officials have urged US President Donald Trump to pressure Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to end the war in Gaza.
On Sunday, former Mossad chief Tamir Pardo, former Shin Bet head Ami Ayalon, and former IDF deputy chief Matan Vilnai said they had sent a letter to Trump with this request. They shared the information with The Jerusalem Post before any other media outlet.
The officials are part of Commanders for Israel’s Security (CIS), a group made up of over 600 former senior figures from the military, police, and foreign ministry. They have previously called for a shift in policy to prioritise the return of Israeli hostages and a post-war plan for Gaza.
The letter also reflected growing concern about Israel’s loss of global legitimacy and noted Trump’s recent criticism of Israel over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
