ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has announced a series of unusual facilitation steps for global delegates attending the Islamabad Talks, highlighting Islamabad’s intent to ensure broad and seamless international engagement.
In a post shared on X account, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar stated all airlines are requested to permit boarding to all such individuals without Visa. He said immigration authorities in Pakistan will issue them Visa on Arrival.
Dar further extended his welcome to all delegates including journalists from participating nations, travelling in connection to Islamabad Talks 2026.
Foreign delegations from US and Iran are expected in Pakistan this weekend for talks aimed at ending the US-Israeli war on Iran, after a two-week Pakistan-brokered ceasefire.
Officials say initiative reflects Pakistan’s commitment to hosting an inclusive, well-attended and smoothly managed diplomatic event at a time of heightened international focus on the talks.
Earlier, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian confirmed Iran’s participation in Pakistan-brokered peace talks with the US in Pakistan to end the conflict and finalise a peaceful settlement.
The US also confirmed its inclusion in the negotiations, with the Press Secretary of White House Karoline Leavitt stating that the US was dispatching a team of negotiators led by US Vice President JD Vance and including US Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Islamabad.
