Coronavirus claims seven more lives in Pakistan, 798 new cases reported in 24 hrs

ISLAMABAD: Coronavirus pandemic during last 24 hours claimed seven more lives in Pakistan besides 798 more people were tested positive across the country.
With the 798 new coronavirus cases confirmed during last 24 hours, the toll of COVID-19 cases surged to 309,015 while with seven new deaths were confirmed the nation-wide tally of fatalities has jumped to 6,444.
The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has confirmed that 798 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 in 24 hours and seven more people have lost their lives to COVID-19 in the country.
According to figures released on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the NCOC at 11:00am on Friday September 25, the toll of coronavirus positive cases reached to 309,015 and Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of infections with 135,246 cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.
The figure shows that 135,246 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 98,864 in Punjab, 37,525 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 14,838 in Balochistan, 16,324 in Islamabad, 3,608 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 2,610 in Azad Kashmir.
As far the death toll in concerned the figures shows overall 6,444 deaths were reported in the country as Sindh crossed the toll of deaths in Punjab. 2,477 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in the province, 2,229 in Punjab, 1,258 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 145 in Balochistan, 181 in Islamabad, 84 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 70 in Azad Kashmir.
Pakistan has so far conducted 3,344,019 coronavirus tests and 37,504 in last 24 hours. 294,740 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 544 patients are in critical condition.
