Coronavirus deaths cross 11,000 mark; 58 new deaths, 1,800 new cases reported in 24 hrs

ISLAMABAD: Coronavirus pandemic in Pakistan crossed 11,000 death mark and the infections crossed 523,011 cases. During last 24 hours countrywide figure jumped to 58 deaths and 1,800 cases.

Pakistan reported 1,800 new infections of coronavirus epidemic during last 24 hours while 58 new deaths have been confirmed. With 1,800 new infections reported in the country the toll surged to 523,011 cases and with 58 new deaths the toll of fatalities jumped to 11,055 deaths.

According to the latest figures displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the NCOC confirmed the death of 58 more people during last 24 hours besides reported that 1,800 persons tested positive for COVID-19.

Sindh with 236,530 overall COVID-19 cases remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.

So far 236,530 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 150,316 in Punjab 63,825 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 40,177 in Islamabad, 18,622 in Balochistan, 8,654 in Azad Kashmir and 4,887 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Nationwide tally of fatalities remains 11,055 out of that 4,460 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 3,813 in Sindh, 1,791 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 457 in Islamabad, 243 in Azad Kashmir, 190 in Balochistan, and 101 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Pakistan has so far conducted 7,442,084 coronavirus tests and 36,513 in the last 24 hours. 476,471 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,341 patients are in critical condition.
